The Summerlyn's brick, stone and shake exterior gives it an old world feel. The turret with its arched transom windows draws the eyes to the center of the elevation. The courtyard entry garage allows for the plan to be built on narrow lots. Dovecote vents as well as planter boxes adds the extra details that complete the curb appeal.
Upon entering the foyer, site lines open up, through the house. The family room has a two story bowed wall of windows. The study is made private by double French doors. A bedroom on the main level with its own bathroom is a special treat for guests. The kitchen is open to the breakfast and sunroom.
On the second floor there are three secondary bedrooms each with access to their own bathroom. The master suite has many special features. A private sitting room, his and her closets, double vanities, a large walk in shower and a spacious garden tub all help to make this the perfect place for parents to unwind after a busy day. Starts and Permits Show Signs of Life for Single-Family
At long last, the housing industry is showing signs of life. Permits were up 10.9% in October to an annual rate of 653,000, the best reading the industry has seen in 19 months, according to data released today by the U.S. Census Bureau. On an annual basis, permits were up 17.7%. Both single-family and multifamily permits were up on a monthly basis, 5.1% and 24.4%, respectively.
While housing starts slipped by 0.3%, they were up 16.5% year-over-year. The monthly decrease was fueled by an 8.3% dip in multifamily starts, after the sector saw a 35.0% increase in September. The change brought the annual rate for units in buildings of five units or more to 183,000. Single-family starts were up 3.9% for the month, for an annual rate of 430,000.
